		<description>Hing is available at Indian stores. It is also called asafetida, comes in powder form, and is quite pungent, (but mellows out and becomes fragrant when it hits oil). It is considered a digestive aid and used to cook potatoes and lentils, because it will reduce gas. If you can&#039;t find it, simply leave it out!</description>
